Dolls are already being resold at double the price

The Aaliyah Barbie, celebrating the late singer's influence on music and fashion, sold out online in just 30 minutes. The doll, priced at $55, is already being resold for over $100 on eBay. Aaliyah's brother collaborated with Mattel to ensure the doll embodied her vibe, reflecting her cool, laid-back style. Aaliyah, who died in a tragic plane crash in 2001, made a significant impact on R&B, hip-hop, and pop music during her short career. The Barbie is part of Mattel's Music Collector Series, joining other iconic music legends like Gloria Estefan and Tina Turner.
