HBO has renewed "The Last of Us" for a third season ahead of the season 2 premiere. The series, starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, follows Joel and Ellie in a dangerous world five years after season 1. Season 2 consists of seven episodes and will air on HBO and stream on Max. Co-creator Craig Mazin expressed pride in the show's success and looks forward to continuing the story in season three.
