Gabby Thomas’ Olympic Dream Comes To Fruition

When U.S. runner Gabby Thomas was awarded a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics, she set a goal for herself: To win the gold medal at the Paris Olympics. And on Tuesday, that’s exactly what she did. Thomas won the 200-meter race with a time of 21.83 seconds, which was .04 seconds better than her time in Tokyo. As the athlete crossed the finish line on Tuesday, she burst into tears, put her hands behind her head and stopped to take in the moment. That’s not to say her Olympic journey is over, however. On Thursday, she’s scheduled to take part in the 4X100 women’s relay, which earned her team a silver medal in Tokyo. What’s the most ambitious goal you’ve set for yourself?
