After a week of severe weather in Rutland, the area braces for the potentially significant storms to come on Sunday. High temperatures and high humidity have led to strong storms in parts of the area. As temperatures and humidity remain high, the potential is very real for tornadoes Sunday afternoon and evening.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for a all of Vermont, as well as parts of New York and New Hampshire. The areas under threat are highlighted in yellow:
